Mad Science (A.K.A. Octofresh) is a collective of four D.J.s who got bored with the usual spinning of vinyl before at separate times in their lives experimenting with the tech side. They all still do mix in a regular way, but with a certain style, and not being afraid of touching the vinyl. Styles covererd are funk, soul, hip-hop, rock, ska, reggae and pretty much anything that can be mixed in. Our aims now are to function in the same way that a band would but with turntables, all taking in turn to perform each part.

Mad Science was started in 2000 by Steve. In 2001 he started doing nights locally with John until early 2004 when Si and keiran joined. Since then we have just been working at our own styles and trying to do regular gigs.
